Boofsquire is now located in Dallas, Texas! We are the first and only manufacturer of Roof Racks designed specifically for the Nissan 370Z and 350Z. Throwing a Roof Rack on a sports car may seem unnatural to some, but for people with an active lifestyle it is a necessity.

The Boofsquire Story

That necessity is what drove the creation of the Boofsquire Roof Rack system. After buying a 350Z in late 2006 the inventor of the Boofsquire Roof Rack system found out that no one built a Roof Rack for his car. Unwilling to give up his beloved outdoor sports he went to work on the first of many prototypes that would ultimately lead to the Roof Rack system you see here today.

Using the final prototype Roof Rack for a year it seemed like a day didn’t go by without a flurry of questions about his invention. Inquiries came from fellow 350Z owners wondering where they could get one, drivers that had been pushed into minivan duty because sports cars "aren’t practical", fellow kayakers and once, much to his alarm, a curious police officer pulled him over ask him about the Roof Rack.

At that point the demand was obvious, so he teamed up with Product Developer, LAB802 LLC, to begin manufacturing and selling the Roof Rack System over the web to 350Z owners all over the country. To honor the Roof Rack’s kayaking roots, he named the site Boofsquire after a character out of local kayak lore.

Boofsquire is the name of a notoriously reclusive yet legendary kayaker. Among other feats, he is credited as being the first kayaker to run the Class 5+ Great Falls at flood-stage, in a deeryak (a hollowed out deer carcass), at midnight, under a moonless sky, using cinder blocks for hand paddles. His PR Agent, some guy named Ted, sold us the rights to use his name in exchange for a case Redbull and a tie down strap.
